Yields: 15 minutes

INGREDIENTS (1 cup = 250 ml)  
  • Salted Butter : 1/4 cup
  • Powdered brown sugar: 1/4 cup
  • Self raising flour: 1/4 cup
  • Baking soda: 1/4 tsp
  • Nisarga Coconut Powder: 1/4 cup
  • Milk: 1 1/2 tsp
  • In a medium sized mixing bowl, add salted butter & powdered brown sugar.
  • Now with the help of fork or a whisker, whip both the ingredients for at least 6 minutes or till it is fluffy
  • Now in the same bowl, sieve self raising flour & baking soda together
  • Now combine all the ingredients properly & ensure that no lumps are formed
  • Now add nisarga coconut powder & vanilla extract.
  • Now mix everything together with the help of your palms
  • Now knead the dough for at least 5 to 8 minutes or till the dough is firm in shape
  • Now form small balls with the help of your palm. Press the dough flat, soften the edges & form a round shape
  • Place it on a baking sheet
  • Preheat the oven to 160 degree celsius & bake the cookies for 12 to 15 minutes or till the cookies are light brown in colour
  • Coconut Cookies or Nariyal Biscuits are ready to be served
  • If using regular sugar, 2 1/2 tbsp will be enough
  • If you are using all purpose flour, then you need to add 1/4 tsp of baking powder too.
